Our surf school operating along the Pacific coast of Mexico, in the state of Nayarit. We provide private and group surf lessons in Sayulita, Punta Mita, Nuevo Nayarit, and nearby surf spots across the Riviera Nayarit, selecting locations daily based on ocean conditions, tides, and student level.

Our surf lessons in Nayarit are designed for beginners, intermediate, and advanced surfers looking for structured instruction and real progression. Each session focuses on safety, wave selection, positioning, paddling technique, and confidence in the water. Lessons are adapted to natural conditions, making surf instruction in Nayarit effective and consistent throughout the season.

We offer private surf lessons for individual attention, as well as group surf lessons in controlled environments. Kids surf lessons are available in calmer conditions, and guided surf trips allow students to experience different breaks along the Nayarit coastline. Surfboard rentals are also available for independent practice between sessions.

About Carlos

Carlos Domínguez is the Head Surf Instructor and co-founder of WINTERSURFSCHOOL™, based on the Pacific coast of Nayarit, Mexico. Raised in Bucerías, Carlos developed his connection with the ocean from an early age, spending his childhood on local beaches and waves.

Before focusing on surfing, Carlos began bodyboarding at the age of 12, learning ocean awareness, wave reading, and coastal conditions through daily practice with friends on local breaks. His formal education in aquatic recreation at CETMAR La Cruz strengthened his professional background and led him to ocean-related work, including lifeguarding, sailing, and deep-water activities.

With more than ten years of hands-on teaching experience, Carlos specializes in surf lessons for beginners and intermediate surfers who want a safe, structured, and confidence-building learning process. His instruction emphasizes ocean safety, correct positioning, paddling technique, wave timing, and calm decision-making in real conditions.

Carlos’s teaching style is clear and practical. He focuses on step-by-step progression, personal attention, and helping students feel comfortable and confident in the water. This approach makes his surf lessons in Nayarit accessible, effective, and suitable for first-time surfers as well as those continuing their progression on the Pacific coast of Mexico.
